Hit the road, Jack!

I give mad, mad props to the video world out there! Just like people who think that taking photos is simple, the misconception of video is similar. You just stand there, point the camera and film, right?

I spent 10 hours yesterday just reading and learning and trying to edit this lame 1 minute clip. Shaky hands, poor focus and no idea how to fade in and out at the end.

But I'm one step closer than I was yesterday morning. It's kind of like the quote that I see plastered on my gym walls: "No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone on the couch."

Baby steps.

The dream team

The dream team are back! My bestie is coming to Costa Rica to assist us with Lea & Steve's destination wedding. Two stinking months and we will be accompanying 80+ people to paradise. In this double digit negative weather, sunshine seems so far away.

Our winter styled shoot reminds me that we are still here. In the cold. For now.

Pinterest gets on my nerves these days. There are no original ideas. I'm still addicted, but rarely look for inspiration for shoots there anymore.

These parents wanted a photograph like this. It's been done before but it's still cute. Thanks to my BFF Cat (check out her site here) for helping me photoshop out my face in the reflection.

It's the dang coldest day of the year so far and I'm having my mom and aunt over for lunch. We talk a lot. It's not gossip when it's family right?
