Krissy & Don.....fearless.....fabulous.

Krissy first contacted me through my listing on Fearless Photographers. We met with her and Don one
winter evening at our place and we didn't stop talking until the wee hours of the morning. They hired us and we photographed their engagement session last night. We started in downtown Ancaster for a more urban feel and ended off in Dundas Valley. It was hot. Literally so hot that Don stripped down to the bare necessities. Michael asked him to go stand in the middle of the road with his beautiful wife to be. And so they did. Electric.

We stumbled upon a private farm and roamed around the perimeters. Krissy grew up around the corner and horses were always a part of her life. Michael and I however were not as comfortable. At one point they all started bounding towards us. I froze and then ran.  And then ran back to get one of my favourite photos I've ever taken. We took some gorgeous sunset shots and met the owner of the property. She let us roam around, and her and her husband toasted the newlyweds with some wine.

They were so fantastic that they even offered us their barn at the crack of dawn this morning to get those sun drenched shots through the barn boards. What started as a simple photo turned into an amazing conversation about their lives, their causes and life in the country.

We headed to an Ancaster pub with our couple last night and just revelled in their wedding plans, and a new forming friendship. We can't wait until your fall wedding! I feel so honoured that Krissy and Don chose us to photograph their wedding. Photography runs in both sides of their families so I hope they are impressed with our work.

Love,

Wendy

  1. Wendy and Michael, these pictures are incredible. We couldn't be happier with them or with the two of you. Our shoots on Friday and Saturday were so fun, easy, exciting, beautiful...I wish everyone could experience the magic that happens when shooting with you guys! We can't stop looking at these photos and can't even imagine what else you have in store for us. Cheese to the best photographers we could have asked for and to a new friendship.

    xo Krissy and Don
